Jim is using a quahog shell which contains Sage and tobacco which is burned. These materials while smoldering, produce a thick smoke. Jim using a feather, directs the smoke from head to toe of each investigator. As he does this, both Jim and the other investigators pray silently for a good session, and to keep bad spirits away from the group.

Investigator Ashley's Mark

This was Ashley's first investigation with our group. After having a very deep sensation, she felt she needed to leave the area she was in. He felt heat around her left ribs. There was a visible mark that was not there prior to start of the investigation.
